Amidst rising isolation and uncertainty, Kimber-Lee Basson has always been set in airports, and on planes, finding herself in different countries, cultural norms, and languages.
Her expensive dinners, car rides and the long list of despicable men she has dated evolved her rapidly and immensely. She was untied from her real name and plummeted into depression whilst residing and working in Poland, Eastern Europe.
In her poetry novel, readers are briefly witnessing an old and new character at hand and can navigate through her as a whole. Her special cafés. Her soft reciprocated kisses. Her friendships and the strangers that never left.
All types of people have leapt for her beauty yet at short distances have run from her brain. She was exposed to being belittled, but simultaneously awe-inspired for her bravery, empowerment and that settling for good enough was no longer good enough.
Her readings, her memories.
Her life.
