Africa is a veritable buffet for the language learner. It is estimated that there may be over 3,000 languages spoken in Africa. This is to be expected as the African continent is as large as the United States of America, India, China, and most of Europe combined.
South Africa, since democracy in 1994 has seen significant migration further expanding its multiple, diverse, and dynamic heritage, cultures and languages. Thanks to this diversity, the majority of South Africans can speak more than one language and will often employ several of them during a single conversation.
This book aims to highlight and discuss cultural issues concerning the eleven official languages spoken in South Africa and concepts related to multiculturalism and national identity.
Jacobeth Dikeledi Warlimont fell in love with non-profit organizations that were involved with the education and social upliftment of Ikageng Township, in Potchefstroom. the highlight of her God-given gifts of being able to teach others and portraying qualities of leadership from a young age.
