Tyranny rules in the city state of Dal Raita. The year is 1162 and King Edgar rules with an iron fist. The consequences for those who break even the slightest rule are given out in the arena for all to see.

As the son of slaves, Leoric is treated worse than most. Not earning enough to feed his three young children, he resorts to stealing carrots from the stables where he tends to the horses.
Leoric and blacksmith, Bahram, hatch a plan to escape but when Leoric’s eldest daughter is thrown into the palace’s dungeon help comes from an unexpected source.
The rumours of magic and unexplained phenomena exist to this day regarding Dal Raita. Could they have been true?
