Al’iinsania: Shadows of the street-inspiration, love and spiritual poem/poetry

The homeless are misperceived by society and are treated inhumanly. It is crucial that society acknowledges homeless people and treat them respectfully. I once met a homeless man outside the Wits Arts Museum, Johannesburg, South Africa. His name was Lebohang Mahlatsi and he became my good friend and brother. Lebohang lived a rather difficult life, but in spite of his difficulties he was kind and cared for his fellow homeless brothers and sisters. Lebohang was very knowledgeable and always thought of ways to better the community.

The homeless are human and they have intellectual minds and hearts of gold just like any other individual in society. It is important that we treat them with the respect and kindness that they deserve. The sales from this book will be donated to an organization that is assisting and empowering the homeless.
