I hope you’re all well. Greetings from Joburg. Today, completing her self-publishing journey is Rachel Makutu. Before we meet her though…
The weeks progress
Very exciting news this week – I have completed draft 1 of my second book in the “Alien Spy” series. 22 chapter and 34,000 words. This is the 8th book I have completed and took nearly 3 months to write.
So, what now? Well, I’ll let that book simmer away in my subconscious for a week or 2 while I go back and look at the edit for something else. Probably book 5 of the Puzzle Train series
The joint project stands at just over 26,000 words now and is developing nicely, with a leaning towards a certain British heavy metal band…
This weeks topic – Rachel Wray Makutu – A Journey to Self
I had the great pleasure to visit Rachel and personally deliver her books to her in Centurion at the weekend.
‘Self’ is a self-help book that helps you develop and restore yourself in all aspects. The truth about most situations is that we already know what will make them better. Whether it’s a lifestyle problem or an emotional issue, the steps to a desired result can usually be found quite easily.
‘Self’ will also help you discover your fullest capabilities, your potential and help you strive for better, for yourself. If your problem has made you feel in some way powerless (physically, financially, emotionally) then the belief that you have the power to change your situation can feel at best optimistic and at worst constantly contradicted by reality.
‘Self’ includes the practical steps you need to help yourself, in a manageable way and leaves you feeling energized and capable. ‘Self’ is the pathfinder to elucidate most of those situations. The core of good advice and efficacy on all matters and self-involving issues surrounding our lives.
Yesterday, I took her book to Book Dealers of Rivonia – 40 Wessel Road, Rivonia, Johannesburg. It’s available there now if you’re in the area, priced at R220.
